Hi, I'm Kels!

The Best Sourdough Glazed Donuts

Have you ever read the label on popular taco seasonings? I urge you to go into your cabinet and do it. Taco seasoning is so easy to make on your own, I will show you how!

Commercial taco seasoning is full of nasty fillers that aren’t necessary. I know I always harp on label reading, but I feel it’s one of the best ways to be intentional about what goes into your body — look at the ingredients!

With only 7 spices, it couldn’t be easier to make your own taco seasoning at home. I add this blend to my meat as it’s cooking. This recipe is for 1 lb of meat, but you can also make a bunch at once and store it in a jar for later.

I received this cumin essential oil from doTerra as part of a promotion, and I realize not everyone will have this, but I love to add a few drops of it in place of the cumin powder. I also use this with other meats/soups, etc. It’s SO fabulous.

Is this meant for 1 pound of ground meat? How do you know how much spice mixture to add to the meat?
