The Best Sourdough Glazed Donuts

Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars

In my obsession with all things made with sourdough over the past year, I have been branching out into cookies and cakes and was so excited when I tried these sourdough chocolate chip cookie bars I knew I had to share. These are by far the best recipe I found.  Because let’s be honest, some aren’t that great. These sourdough chocolate chip cookie bars are soft and chewy and have a great caramel flavor from the coconut sugar.

Ingredients

  • 1 c sourdough starter
  • 2 c all purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 c butter, softened
  • 3/4 c coconut sugar
  • 3/4 c cane sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 c rolled oats (NOT the quick oats)
  • 2-3 c chocolate chips nuts, dried fruit, optional
