Hi, I'm Kels!

The Best Sourdough Glazed Donuts

Absent. I haven’t been blogging much lately, due to some unexpected news that my baby was breech at my 37 week appointment. I have had barely a spare minute to think about anything besides getting this baby girl to turn around over the last 10 days. My family has been eating whatever they can scrounge, and I have been laying upside down, doing handstands in the pool, playing music and shining flashlights on my belly, and just generally focusing on this baby and her needs right now. I apologize for my serious lack of posts, but my baby and my little family need all of my attention right now. I am scheduled for an External Cephalic Inversion early tomorrow morning to hopefully help this girl know which way she needs to be for a natural birth. I tried everything I could to turn her on my own and it’s been exhausting! It’s hard to lay upside down all the time this far along in pregnancy and it’s tiring to wonder all the time if she is going to suddenly flip.

With my due date 11 days away, I am trying to get everything prepared for both baby and Christmas. I realized this morning that Christmas Eve is on MONDAY. I’m excited to celebrate the season with my family. We are keeping it low-key this year with the baby about to be born. We aren’t traveling anywhere and will just relax and enjoy a peaceful Christmas at home (unless interrupted by a birth). If I get a minute to post before Christmas, I most definitely will.

I wish everyone a Merry Christmas and hope that your holidays are full of GOOD food, family, and friends.

Wish me luck!
